Potential Undergraduate Research Opportunities

The lab is always looking for motivated and interested undergraduate Psychology majors/minors who want to gain research experience or work more closely with the LGBTQ community.

The lab has 2 pathways for students based on their progress in the Psychology major.

  • For those who are first or second years (Freshman and sophomores) who have not taken Research Methods, the experience will be more heavily focused on reviewing the literature, editing, and brainstorming.
  • For advanced standing students, there will be an opportunity to work with data and to develop your own projects with said data.
  • For all students, there will be a focus on personal development (i.e. Aligning this experience with your future life goals), critical research consumption, and a examination of ethics and research practices.

In addition, the Psychology program now has a 4+1 option. With this option, students who have been working in the lab during their time in the undergraduate program who fulfill certain course requirements can complete their Masters of Science in Psychology in 1 year. Click here for details!
